Islamic Jewelery now at SHUKR

SHUKR's now selling Islamic jewellery! It's quite modern and elegant, in silver sterling, and reasonably priced at around $30-40 for a nice pendant and chain set. I think Islamic jewellery is a way to showcase Islamic art and a nice conversation starter with non-muslims. Beautiful! Would make a great gift! (hint hint..doesn't my husband EVER read this blog?!) UniqueHijabs Gushing Review

So I finally got some hijabs from http://www.uniquehijabs.com/ after gushing over their stuff for months and here's the scoop:

I have this lace hijab in brown, and having been disappointed with other lace hijabs that felt thick or rough in the past I was very happy to see this lace hijab is soft and thin; I have layered with this and it was great! You'll feel prim and proper, dainty and demure...Victorian style, but without losing your right to vote and own property :)

Speaking of lace, my favorite hijab of all is this one on the far right, black with polka-dots fabric attached to a lovely floral cream lace section which has sewn on TOP of it a lovely fabric flower in the black fabric! *sigh* I'm in love :)) This one truly is UNIQUE !! Sidenote: do polka dots have any link to the Polka dance?! Google it and let me know...! I don't mind polka dots in small doses, like this.

Next to this is the grey stripe hijab which is slightly gathered on one end with a flower, in the middle of which is a large rhinestone! CUTE! Love the trend of hijabs with matching flowers ATTACHED because it's way more subtle than buying and attaching your own. CUTE! (wait did I already say that?) This hijab is the narrowest of the 5 I ordered so you may have to wear an undercap underneath to add some width and it is the least soft - ah, but who cares when ur gonna look that cute.

Next is this lovely viscose patterned  hijab which has TWO PATTERNS, one on each side! Cool idea...so you can start the wrap from either end and it looks like two different hijabs! BTW the fabric is waaay soft and silky like, not a cheap viscose.

On the far left is the luxury wrap in black, a great basic black with a touch of SHEEN for a touch of flair :) Not as soft and drapey as the patterned hijab but still nice.

Awesome store, friendly service, professionally packaged hijabs and the shipping is great at only $4.99 to US and wonderful CANADA...nice eh?
