Hijab Storage!

How do you store and organize your hijabs? Here's an inexpensive option from Ikea:

Me, I turned a garden trellis from home depot into a hijab-holder. But what I really want to do one day is screw about 5-10 horizontal rods onto a wall in my walk-in closet and just drape them over...when i get around to it!

More ideas below:

A lot of pant and tie-hangers will also work for hijabs:

Slack HangersHoney-Can-Do HNGZ01325 Soft Touch Hanging Skirt and Pant Hangers with Clamps, White/Blue-gray, 6-PackMultiple Pants Hanger - 5 Tier (Chrome/Black) (13.5" wide)
Friction Tie Rack and Scarf Hanger - Non-slip (Black/Chrome) (11 1/2"H x 6 1/2"W)Kennedy Home Collection 5168 16-Pocket Hanging Shoe/Purse Organizer, Cream/Black
You can always fold them and stack them in a shoe organizer, but you may get more wrinkles.

Up2date Designs

I love this designer, Lia Triana, with the design label Up2date from Indonesia. I can see why Indonesia is headed towards being a major hub in the Islamic fashion world! In fact, they are apparently making plans for an annual Indonesian Islamic Fashion Fair in an attempt to make Indonesia the center of the world’s Muslim fashion scene by 2020. Indonesian designs are extremely colorful, light, layered, and modest!
Did Ya Know? More Indonesian women began to wear Islamic clothing after the mid 1990s when the New Order regime eased religious repression. Previously, civil servants, office workers and students were banned from wearing the jilbab!

Jazz-Up a Jilbab!

Here's some inspiration from an Indonesian fashion show! I love the idea of wearing a beautiful short jacket over a jilbab to add a touch of glamor and style, especially for a night out or for Eid! This design is the brand Bilqis by the fashion designer Tuti Adib. Notice the wide, satiny jilbab/dress and the lovely sequins on the jacket, and that her neck is properly covered as well!

Shukr on the Runway!

Here are some photos from a fashion show Shukr held recently. For those of you who haven't shopped Shukr yet, to see the clothes in motion really shows off how comfortable yet ELEGANT Shukr clothing really is! Cotton doesn't have to be casual! Just add some accessories (like the necklaces) and stylish shoes if you want to dress your Shukr up! And once again, it's the BEST quality Islamic Apparel I have ever purchased online!

Hijab Styl'n: Adding Volume to your hijab style!

How to add volume to your hijab...if you are are growing out your hair or don't have thick hair. Then this voluminous wrap technique will give you that desired full bun look.

Note: You will complete all these steps under your hijab.

To start you will need a thin little scarf that is around 64x8 in.
-First: comb hair into a high ponytail than wrap around in a bun.

-Second: fold in half  long ways the scarf then wrap around the top part of your forehead, tucking behind ears and bringing just under you ponytail. (make sure each piece is at the same length).

-Third: tie bringing one side into a loop, then bring the second side into a loop tighten into a bow.

-Fourth: wrap each loop around the bun, tucking in end pieces.

-Fifth: wrap hijab as desired.

Here are some scarfs I found on Amazon that should do the trick, Also you can try these hair scrunchies.

If you have a different way let us know. How do you get your volume?
