WholeSale Hijabs - Grab some friends!

Have you heard of 411hijabs.com ? It's the wholesale version of middleeasternmall.com where you can buy the same/similar hijabs at like half the price, if you buy more! The minimum order is only 3 dozen hijabs. Only, you say? Well, if you think about it, just grab a couple friends and you'll each get 12 hijabs for the price you would have paid for like 6 at a regular store! The only problem may be fighting over who gets which patterns/colors once your package arrives, but I'm sure you can fight it out! When I first discovered this store I thought it was only for small businesses but anyone can register; I did, and it was easy - and I don't have a hijab store. The only requirement is that you buy at least 3 dozen hijabs. The prices are great and the hijabs are awesome, especially if you're into mona and amira hijabs and caps.

Eid Looks: Dresses!

When I think of Eid, I tend to think DRESSES. A lot of us trendy Muslimahs are wearing skirts and pants on a daily basis, so maybe Eid is a time to pull together a dressier outfit!

A great place to start is a maxi-dress (like the ones below) in some bright colors, toned down with a mono color cover up piece such as: a cropped blazer, a long lightweight open-front cardigan, a short knit cover-up, a shawl, or even a layer underneath (like the first photo above)!
You should be able to find a maxi-dress on sale at the mall since these are summer-wear so considered going out of season now!

Prefer a one-piece dress outfit? This is a cute, formal, but comfy-as-can-be dress from Shukr, for under $100. 5 days of shopping left to guarantee delivery by Eid!

Go all out with a party dress from Artizara! This one's a bit pricey at just under $200, but there's less expensive options! I also love their jewellery which would make great Eid gifts for friends...

And don't forget, shoes and purses make the outfit!

Fall Must-Have: Open-front Sweaters

I'm in love with the open-front sweater this season. They just look so much classier than button-down cardigans, especially when they're cut an angles in the front, or have playful butterfly sleeves or a cute sash to tie...even the short sleeved and vest styles are great for us Muslim gals since layering is no problemo in sweater season.

You can find these sweaters at every store and at every price point. Shhhh....don't tell anyone but I bought a really expensive-looking one at Wal-mart for $17!

sweeeeet.

Now, you could wear a more traditional closed front cardigan this season, but you may end up looking a bit like Mr.Rogers:

(loved that show!)

SHUKR: what's new?

Here's some of the new looks from Shukr:

I like this embroidered skirt because the embroidery - being at the hem - is subtle and it's not so traditional a design. Cute!

The "Trouser-skirt" ...hmmmm, I have mixed feelings about this one. I like how modest of a pant it is, but I own a couple of similar pants and have never worn them. It's hard to match a top with these pants but if you're going to try I'ld go for nothing longer than mid-thigh. A slightly fitted/structured top would look better than a loose one too. Also I would only recommend this style for slim ladies because it makes wide hips look wider!

A couple of prints make their way into the line-up. If you love Shukr then you know that they don't make patterns often so snatch one of these up. I really like the length of some of the new tunics, hitting at or just below the knee which works well with pants.

..Not so sure about the U-shaped opening on a few of the new tunics. Yes, it's original, I'll give'm that, but is it beautiful?

A good layering piece none-the-less.
