Skirts with Sneakers?

Here's a random outfit photo of mine...I'm always looking for ways to dress nicely while being active; although it seems tacky to pair a skirt with sneakers, somehow this outfit worked. The key is to wear a cotton or linen skirt and a sporty top. My skirt is from Shukr, the top is from Joe Fresh, and the Hijab is from Smart Set. It also helps if you get some sneakers that are a neutral color, not bright blue or yellow!

Marabo Review

One of the reasons I first started this blog was because I knew how risky it could be to order from an online store when you have no idea who they are or the quality of the clothes you'd receive...So from time to time I'll review stuff I've ordered myself....this skirt I ordered from http://www.maraboonline.com/ , it's a linen "flamenco" skirt and I love it! As you can see I was too lazy to actually put it on so I just lay it on my bed!

My order was processed quickly, packaged professionally, and the quality of the skirt is great. It was a bit big so I washed and dried it in the dryer and it shrunk to a perfect fit. The color was slightly more brown than the pink shade it appeared on the website, but because we all have different monitor color settings it's hard to say if that was my fault or theirs!

The matching hijab I found at the mall (At Bootlegger) for about $5 ...

Soft Surroundings Outlet

I've posted about Soft Surroundings before but forgot to mention they have an outlet site with GREAT skirts at lower prices. Just look at this georgeous piece in rayon with bold floral print. Sizes are more limited at the outlet store, but you could get lucky and score a great piece for less.

World of Batik

In our drab world of fashion neutrals, a kaftan (or caftan) is a great way to get a bold dose of color and patterns! Throw on a long sleeve underneath and you're ready for guests too.
