TaqwaIman, Small but Chic
Salam ALL! Hope you've been getting out and enjoying the weather like I have! Time to get out into nature, and get back into shape too (argh). A pair of wide denim pants are great for exploring the outdoors, especially if they're "extremely lightweight" like these ones from TaqwaIman.com.. You wanna stay cool too afterall. This is a chic little Islamic & Modest clothing store that's small, but worth a look. I particularly like these denim pants (and the white linen ones too). At slightly over $50 it's no bargain, but if you're having trouble finding chic wide pants at your local stores, here you go!

Sweet Skirts at Soft Surroundings!
Cotton, long, and just look at the bright, chic patterns! Soft Surroundings has TALL sizes so just order any skirt in size Tall and it will be as long as a skirt from any Muslim store. I'm 5'5 and like my skirts to be around 38" long...their tall sizes are 39" long, so would be fine for me. If you're shorter than me then Tall size may be long and you can probably just order the regular size. I haven't ordered from here, but everything looks quality, and since the prices are expensiv they should be quality products. Loooove these modest skirts for summer!

Modest Find: Pleated Pants
What do you think of pleated wide pants? I think they're pretty fresh...I see a pointy pair of heels with these and a modest top that doesn't go more than half way down the thigh. Not for everyone, but would be SO nice on the trend-setting muslimah fashionista.Wednesday, May 6, 2009
More Old Navy Styles

You can't tell from this photo, but these are extra-long t-shirts from Old Navy - they come down to just above the knee which is a RARE find for t -shirts. Thy are thin and sporty and I highly recommend... I layer these over thin long sleeves (and my cleavage covers) and am now super comfy for tennis & soccer....yaye!
There's a bunch of 3/4 sleeve gauze tunics at Old Navy too, and some patterned cotton tunics in the clearance section - cover your wrists and you're ready to go in cotton comfort...personally I'm sick of this style but I know lots of ladies are still diggin it..
These super thin cotton blouses are great because the floral patterns prevent them from being sheer - and the sleeves roll down all the way. Yes, a bit on the short side, but I don't mind wearing shorter shirts as long as I have a wide/poofy skirt underneath (one that doesn't hug the hips and thighs)....how comfy would this be on a hot day? On sale now by the way.
Lots of other modest clothes at old navy right now like long summer dresses and layering pieces all at great prices!

Sporty Hijab Searching...
I played tennis this weekend and although my two-piece (Amira) cotton hijab was comfortable, the fact that it's two-piece makes creates a double layer on top of the head and therefore makes me hot....so I'm thinking I should buy a few one-piece cotton hijabs just for sports in warmer weather.
I loved the price of these basic one-piece hijabs from hilalplaza.com - only 3.99 each! Not so stylish, but when it's hot out and I want to be active, it'll have to do...
I think this two-piece style with the stripe on top looks kinda sporty, from middleeasternmall.com...but again the fact that it's two-piece will make you hot when active. This store has several one-piece hijabs for under $10 as well - not sporty looking, but nice colors.
