Cleavage Covers Arrived!

Hey! My order from http://www.cleavagecovers.com/ arrived and here's the scoop! The packaging and sewing was completely professional quality. The fabric is great, and the sticky tape technique works great too! A must-have for any modest or Muslim fashionista to help you wear the latest fashions found in stores without the risk of baring any bosom!

I wanted to take a photo but of course my camera phone is giving me trouble :( but here's a photo from their site.

I noticed lots of color options, including spring colors in their product line now so you can match the fabrics to any top you want that needs extra coverage! Also cleavage covers with rhinestones and lace for those fancier tops. Cute cute cute!!

Medieval Dresses & Jilbabs

Ever noticed the similarity between Medieval women's wear and the formal jilbab/abaya? Ever seen women in medieval European garb in the movies and thought, wow that would be really beautiful - without the cleavage and girdles! Not surprising seeing as we know that most women used to dress modestly in past times, but medieval dress in particular grabs my eye for it's flounce and flair!

This fancy jilbab from Lebaas is an example of the similarities...a UK store coincidentally, with some fancy stuff that's not quite my style but beautiful none-the-less.

WOW and they think OUR hijabs are an inconvenience! Look at that head piece! LOL.

Unique Islamic Jewelery

I noticed a while back that Artizara sells Islamic jewelery on their site, but it wasn't until recently that I took a good look at their collection and I really liked them. Unique designs and beautiful stones, with Islamic phrases or Surahs engraved in them, hand made in either Turkey, Egypt or Pakistan. The prices are a bit high considering there is no real gold items, but rather gold plating and silver, but this would make a really unique gift for a Muslim friend or for a husband to buy his wife (just email him this link with the words "HINT HINT" in the subject line). I would probably pay the price for the novelty factor. (NOT for the superstition that Islamic jewelery will protect you!) Check it out!

Shopped at Bijoux Terner?

I heard about a store called Bijoux Terner and that they sell tons of trendy fashion accessories including scarves (or as we would say "hijabs" :) for only $10 each....of course I got very excited about this prospect but found that they have only three stores in Canada (Vancouver, Niagara falls.. none near me!) but a bunch in the U.S. and Europe. Interestingly, they are apparently found in airports, hotels, cruise ships, and casinos!?

If you're in the US or Europe you've probably seen this store before, and you have to let me know what you think! I heard you can find awesome 100% silk scarves for only $10!! Not to mention the handbags and jewelery! If you haven't visited before, check out their locations here and if there's one near you, run - don't walk to check it out. And think of me while you shop 'till you drop!

Review: Middleeasternmall.com

Here's a store that, upon first glance, looks like any other hijab store but if you dig into their inventory - WOW, what an impressively huge selection of amira hijabs and underscarves (over 100 of each)!

I just received a load of underscarves and was very satisfied with the customer service, delivery time, delivery charge and quality of the products!

I would especially recommend them if you're looking for underscarves. They sell hijab "caps" which I found so surprisingly comfortable! They slip much less than tubes because of the way they surround the head. I would like to see some of these in a stretchy cotton too (these are polyester).

To see the selection of unique, beautiful and comfortable underscarves in sooo many colors click here.

JustLongShirts.com, Chic & Unique

Salam!

Have you seen this store before? As you can guess by the name, they specialize in long, modest shirts, totally appropriate for the muslim woman! I would buy a shirt from here for sure - smack on a matching hijab and skirt/wide pants, and you can imagine what a chic outfit you could create! Prices are a bit on the higher end (the shirts in these photos are around $50 US), but the styles are so chic and unique that it would be well worth it! http://www.justlongshirts.com/

Every seen the HUGE selection of hijab pins at 2hijab.com?! I counted 76 different packs of hijab pins!....from crystal, to plastic, to little ceramic flowers...not only is the selection HUGE but the prices are amazing - some packs of 12 pins for $1.90 US. Although they're located overseas, you would still get a really good deal on these light-weight items if you bought a bunch, even with shipping included.

Shukr's Spring Line-Up

If you're a true fashionista you're already getting ready for the spring/summer season right? When I shop for spring/summer clothes, I look for colors that remind me of flowers, beaches, sunsets, water, and sunshine!...so you'll see a lot of these colors in my array of personal favorites from Shukr's spring line-up.

Almost all of these are upwards of $50 but I'll let you know if a sale pop up soon!
Summer staples: a white bottom (skirt or pants), a sand colored bottom, bright colorful tops, and anything light & cotton - which is of course what Shukr is best at!

HijabiCaps at Al Muhajaba El Aniqa

Salam!

Here's a cute little U.S. hijab store that I found: http://www.almuhajabaelaniqa.com/
- lots of unique stuff like Kuwaiti hijabs, turbans, snoods, satin caps, and a new scarf that they call the "Hijabicap"... there's some potential here, but it's a more bold look for sure, since it's so different than the wrap hijabs we're used to seeing!

Plus, you have to make sure you figure out how to cover the neck properly - I think this might look nice with a long turtle neck under. Take a look at the hijabicaps below and take part in the Poll Above: Would you wear a hijabicap?
