Not Your Mother's Jilbab!

This is for you jilbab-wearing sisters out there. Here's a store that makes jilbabs that even an ordinarily non-jilbab wearing, fashion conscious muslim woman can appreciate! WOW!! It's a UK store, so in dollars you're looking at at least $150 - but if the quality is good, I'd say it's worth it.

My favorites are below:

Who knew red patent heels could do so much for a black jilbab or abaya?

I'm going to have to save up for one of these beauties!

  2. Good point! And I'm not a fan of the angry model face either. Why can't models just smile sweetly?? It is sunnah to smile afterall :)

  3. i love how you chose colors that complement each other, like that ash brown dress and bright blue scarf. Its gourges how everything flows together.

  4. well im a teenager i personally think because they are showing their necks and shoulders that there is no point of wearning a jilbab and also our prophet said that it shouldnt be tight and brightly coloured, if you are wearing your jilbab like that i personally think that there is no point in wearing it and also the hijab should cover the neck and preferably the chest aswell.

  5. totally agree with anonymous the jilbaab is to preserve modesty not flaunt oneself these defeat the purpose quite honestly and thats putting it lightly! there should be no difference between yours and your mothers jilbaab IF you want to preserve your modesty its compulsory for both mother AND daughter to cover up when going out you make it sound like a bad thing having a jilbaab like that of ones' mother. wasalam
