hey muslim fashionistas - Have you also noticed the attack of winter black?! As soon as snow and slush come around it seems we all run out to the stores and get the exact same black jacket! I ran across this page in a magazine and it gave me some ideas:
We can lighten up our dark winter looks with punches of winter white! Try an off-white or creamy white color, not super bright summer white.. I suggest you try an off-white sparkly hijab, flashy purse, chic straight skirt, or boots and pair them up with your black, brown or grey winter jackets.
I never thought of wearing a white skirt in winter, but I think it looks great with a coat like the photo above!
Or get an off-white coat for non-slushy days. I did buy an off-white wool coat (below):
but I will not be wearing it for treks outdoors. For those winter walks, toboganning (yes I still toboggan), skiing, etc. I have a big puffy black coat that I don't have to worry about getting dirty.
Do try some white this winter though! I don't know about you, but it's starting to look like Iran around here.
(p.s. if you actually do live in Iran, stick to black ;)
