We call this the Turkish wrap since all of the most fashionable Muslim ladies in Turkey wear their hijabs this way.The best thing about this style is all the different looks you can get by playing with the ends. It's really easy to get this sophisticated look, but make sure you follow these steps if you want to get it just right!
1. Find a bold, colorfully printed square scarf - preferably silk - and fold it in half without ironing the folded edge.
2. Put on a coordinating underscarf/cap pulled half-way down your forehead.
3. Place the hijab on your head, without tucking at the sides of your head, and pin under your chin. When you don't tuck, the folded edge will be wide and loose around the top of your head (as shown above).
4. Now decide what you want to do with the ends! You can:
- leave one end hanging down and toss the other
- tie the ends tightly behind your neck
- tuck them inside a suit jacket
- gather them to the side with a large broach (below)
Tip: Young women tend to wear their hair in a high ponytail under this style.
